Everyone is crazy when Valentine’s Day is coming. The excitement and love are at their peak in February month. But I would like to glorify self-love and promote to be your own Valentine this year.
I’m a mother of 17 y/o son and I know how challenging it is to be constantly on duty from day one. Being a mother is a demanding role as every mother always prioritizes her child before herself. I have seen that the mother often feels guilty if she prioritizes herself. This article is for all the mothers who had been raised in an environment where self-love has been badly criticized.
Here is an initiative from my side to give a shout-out to self-love and being my own Valentine this Valentine’s Day. The following list is my personal favorite treat for myself.
Gifts for yourself on Valentine’s Day Mamaaa
A momcation with your Bestie
Plan a day out or a mini trip with your favorite flock where you can truly enjoy yourself without any kind of worry about your children and home (of course you can take a break from your responsibilities for a while and pass it on to your spouse or family member). It sounds a little selfish in the first place but believe me, it will fill your energy cup, and it’s worth it.
A coffee Date
A coffee date with yourself. Choose your favorite place with a cozy environment and peaceful ambiance. And enjoy your coffee with yourself where you indulge with your thoughts and spent amount of moments peacefully. You can also carry your favorite book with you to make those moments quite interesting and more enjoyable.

Indulge Hobby
Mostly we say bye to our hobby in the early motherhood phase. Create a separate space and time for your hobby. It will give you the me time that we all need. This will energize you and keep your mood happy. Following the hobby is the best Valentine’s gift that you deserve.
Buy yourself Flowers
Flowers are a favorite for a lady in her entire life, so why should wait for them? Just go and buy yourself your favorite flowers. This will make you feel more empowered and happy.
Shopping from wishlist
Do some shopping that has remained on your wishlist for a long time and treat yourself. You can literally gift it to yourself and feel loved and worthy.
That dopamine hit gives you happiness and a feeling of fulfillment. Just hit the buy button and complete your order. You can also enjoy yourself by going shopping or just window shopping.
Opt for the new things that you have never tried and enjoy the time with yourself. If you like you can invite your bestie to join you in this window shopping.

Recreate your space
Home is our comfy zone but many times it happens that the regular setup feels boring. You can reimagine and recreate your desired space in your home or in your room.
It will give your mind a sense of newness and freshness. The decluttering also helps you to boost your energy.
Unplug yourself
Leave behind all the thoughts that bothering you and unplug yourself from the world. Take time and cut off from the entire world and be with yourself and enjoy your company without getting bothered by anyone. Just you and your cup of tea, with your thoughts and feelings.
